Available is a beta

It is finished enough to use every day, and not finished enough to sell. So it is free to test, through Apple's TestFlight, and what you tell us about it is the whole point.

TestFlight is Apple's own app for testing. You install that first, then Available arrives inside it.

What you are testing

Available reads the calendars already on your phone and works out the days you are free. It writes the list the way you would write it yourself, so a month with a fortnight gone in the middle of it comes out as "All except 6-17".

You can send that list as text, as a PDF on your own letterhead, as a picture, as a calendar file, or as a link. You can ask somebody else when they are free and see the days that suit you both.

What it costs

Nothing, while it is a beta. There is no payment screen in it, nothing is charged, and you are not signing up to anything. When it goes on sale it will be a one-off payment, and reading and changing your own dates will stay free either way.

What leaves your phone

Your calendar does not. There is no server and no account, your entries are read while the app is open and are not copied into it, and the names of your entries are never kept. Your settings sit in your own iCloud so your other devices are set up already, and you can turn that off.

When you send dates, the dates themselves are what travels, along with your name and the foot of your own page. Nothing goes through us. The privacy page sets all of it out.

Telling us what is wrong

From inside TestFlight, take a screenshot and send it: that is the quickest way, and it carries which build you were on. Or write to hello@fisheggs.au and say what phone you have and what you were doing.

Anything at all. Wording that reads oddly, a list that says the wrong thing, a screen that is cramped at the text size you use. It is all worth having.
